Add course exemption

This guide will show the steps taken to create a course exemption for a learner

Add a course exemption onto a learner account

• Locate theamber coloured tab labelled Training Matrix in the top navigation bar.
• Hover over the label and a drop-down menu will appear and select Training Matrix.
• Once the page has loaded, a grey table will be displayed listing all students on the platform along with their required courses, which are highlighted using a traffic light system.

• Using theblue search box enter the first name and surname section for the required student and press Search.

• The grey table will now display the chosen student’s details only along with the course requirements, along the right-hand side.

  Notice: The following icons may be present in the box also:

  ---

  = Assigned but not completed/passed
  = Requirement but not assigned to the learner
  = Course completed and passed with certificate.Holds a certificate but will expire (in accordance to the set refresher frequency) andCourse certificate has expired.

• After locating the course not required by the learner, select the highlighted box (displaying either red, amber, blue or green) in line with both the course code and the student’s name.

• After clicking, there will be a green tab at the bottom of the pop-up box displaying Add exemption.

• Click Add Exemption for the box to expand allowing you to enter in a reason for this student not requiring the course.

  If this studen does not need to/or is unable to take this content as part of their Job Role/Department/Team, they can be exempt from the Training Matrix

• Press Exempt button to confirm. The course requirement will turn grey.

  Note: Course exemptions will not affect your compliance rating.

• This now means the course is no longer marked as mandatory training for the student.
