The Understanding E.coli training course will help the learner practice safe food hygiene by raising awareness of how E.coli can spread. Ideal for food handlers or those working with food.
Food borne illness is unpleasant at the best of times, but Escherichia coli (E.coli) is one of the bacteria that when present in our food even in relatively low numbers, can cause severe illness and even death.
It is a matter of utmost importance that food workers understand the essential facts about this bacteria e.g. where it originates, how it contaminates food and how this contamination can be prevented, making our food safe to eat.
This course is simple, but engaging and will help every food worker understand and play their part in preventing this nasty bacteria from causing illness.
Most of us will remember the various break-outs of E.coli that have happened over the years. The outcomes for the companies involved have been losses of profit and reputation, and in some instances, imprisonment for the owners. Some companies will never recover from this kind of exposure.
