This Hot Weather Conditions Training course looks at identifying the signs and symptoms and the type of person most at risk to heat stress. The course also looks at finding out common heart-related disorders and illnesses that can worsen under a period of sustained heat.
People are able to work a variety of weather conditions but with that brings its own risks. Performing a manual job role during the summer, especially if its strenuous and out doors in a hot climate, need to be aware of how hot weather conditions can affect their working day.
Staff can easily recognise they are hot by sweating but being able to recognise the symptoms of overexposure. The course looks at helping those respond promptly and effectively to deal with this situation.

Training Course Content
This course is made up of the following modules:
An Introduction to Hot Weather Conditions
This section introduces the course and the learning material
Module 1 - Understanding heat-stress
Determine the signs, symptoms and nature of heat stress and common heat-related
disorders/illnesses as well as knowing how to identify who is at risk.
Module 2 - Taking action to prevent heat-stress
Learn how you can prevent heat-stress, you’re your employers responsibilities are and how to deal with overexposure.
On completion of the course lessons and training material an online assessment will automatically unlock. The assessment will contain 15 multiple-choice questions and a mark of 75% or above will be required to pass.
The assessment will be marked instantly and so you will know straight away if you have passed or not. If you don't pass first time there's no need to worry. Unlimited resits at absolutely no additional charge are available so you can retake the assessment again as many times as you need to.
