The aim of this Environmental Awareness Training course is to help learners understand how human activities, including industrialisation, pollution and waste generation, can affect the environment and contribute to climate change.

The course also aims to raise awareness of environmental responsibilities and encourage individuals to adopt more sustainable practices in their everyday lives and workplaces. Course Content

This course is made up of the following modules:

  • An Introduction to Environmental Awareness

    This section introduces the learner to the course. It helps to show the impact industrialisation has had on global warming by increasing Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions into the atmosphere. .

  • Module 1 - Weather Change and Legislation

    This section of the course concentrates on the different legislations that have been brought in to protect the environment. It also looks at how the weather has changed due to global warming and pollution.

  • Module 2 - Dangerous and Hazardous Waste

    This section of the course covers the ‘waste hierarchy’ and the three Rs, which are Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. It looks at how waste has caused excessive landfills, and other hazardous waste should be disposed of.

  • Module 3 - Renewable Energy

    In this final section, you will cover the benefits of renewable energy and the varieties of renewable energy which are available, also, how the process of energy saving can help to save money and the environment.

Assessment

On completion of the course lessons and training material an online assessment will automatically unlock. The assessment will contain 15 multiple-choice questions and a mark of 75% or above will be required to pass.

The assessment will be marked instantly and so you will know straight away if you have passed or not. If you don't pass first time there's no need to worry. Unlimited resits at absolutely no additional charge are available so you can retake the assessment again as many times as you need to.
