This Banksman Training course covers a range of topics such as verbal and physical communication and identifying safe working practices which are vital to the wellbeing of those in the site vicinity. Working in areas with large, heavy vehicles and plant machinery comes with various risks. This awareness level course explains the pivotal role a Banksman plays in ensuring the health and safety of others whom operate in the area of reversing vehicles or lifting operations, can continue to do so safely.

Unfortunately, severe injuries and, in some tragic cases, deaths have been caused by reversing vehicles or accidents during lifting operations. This is why the role of a banksman is a necessary safety requirement and in turn they should be thoroughly trained to become aware of the risks and to understand the potential responsibilities, which are covered in this course.

Also known as a Vehicle Banksman or a Traffic Marshal, of which either can complete the training, this Banksman course will help to raise awareness on assessing the risks such as when needing to direct a loading operation safely and what distinctive clothing to wear to be clearly visible.
