This Listeria Awareness Training course provides the basic knowledge in understanding the factors around Listeria such as, where it is found and how to kill the infection.
Although Listeria bacteria is not the most common source of food infection, it is one of the most deadly, especially with regard to pregnant women and babies. An awareness of this deadly bacteria, its origins and how it infects humans through food, is essential knowledge for all who work in the food industry, or for all those working with pregnancy and early childhood.
This course has been designed to enable anyone, especially food workers, care workers and those concerned with the welfare of individuals who fall within vulnerable categories, to understand the Listeria bacteria and its affects.
This course is aimed to provide you with a basic level of knowledge and understanding of what Listeria is, where it comes from, its prevention, how to identify the symptoms and how to treat them should someone become infected.
This online course covers the following topics:
The average time required to complete the learning is approximately 1 hour, however the course is designed to go at the pace of the learner and can be completed in more time if needed.
The online assessment for the course consists of 20 multiple choice questions. In order to be successful, candidates must achieve a 75% pass mark (15 or above) to obtain the certificate.
On successful completion of the online course assessment, the candidate will be able to print/save their Listeria Awareness Training certificate. In addition to this, an email is sent to the candidate containing a link to the certificate.
This is the simplest, most convenient way to achieve compliance. Also, a QR code has been added to the certificate, which can be scanned by a smartphone to establish the certificate’s validity.
