This COSHH Training online will educate the learners with the knowledge to understand the potential health risks at work around hazardous substances. They will learn how to perform a COSHH risk assessment that highlights these risks and how to work safely.
In any workplace, there may be substances used in production, which could cause long or short term sickness or injury. The COSHH Regulations 2002 require each company to analyse those potentially hazardous substances in use. However, not all substances are obviously hazardous, for example, bartenders who frequently slice lemon or limes may develop dermatitis, or cleaners can be affected by strong cleaning chemicals.
This COSHH training will enable those responsible, to write their own risk assessment and will help employees understand the importance of control measures which may be put in place.

Who is this COSHH Training for?
This course is for anyone who needs to produce a COSHH risk assessment in their place of work. Any persons working with harmful or hazardous substances should take this Understanding COSHH course. This could include people who work in particular industries such as: cleaners, factory workers, hairdressers, builders, mechanics, farmworkers and painers and decoraters.
COSHH Training Certification

Course Aim
The aim of this online COSHH training course is to give anyone who needs to carry out a COSHH risk assessment, the required level of knowledge necessary to produce an effective document.
It is designed to give a good level of understanding about the potential dangers of being exposed to certain substances, both through short term exposure and over time that maybe a hazard by posing a risk to health.

- List the 5-step risk assessment process.
- Recognise what ‘REACH’ is.
- Identify the purpose of Safety Data Sheets.
- Identify the definition CLP regulations.
- Identify hazard symbols.
- list some common allergens/allergies.
- name some COSHH related hazards.
Training Course Content
This course is made up of the following modules:
An Introduction to COSHH Training
This section covers what COSHH regulations, lists examples of which chemicals are covered by the regulations
Module 1 - Hazards and Risks
This section covers what COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) is, and the kinds of things we should be aware of, and do, when working closely with chemicals.
Module 2 - Preventing Hazards and Risks
This section covers the different types of PPE (personal protective equipment) that can be used when working with hazardous substances. This module also investigates different industries that may use hazardous substances in their day-to-day workplace.
Assessment
On completion of the course lessons and training material an online assessment will automatically unlock. The assessment will contain 30 multiple-choice questions and a mark of 75% or above will be required to pass.
The assessment will be marked instantly and so you will know straight away if you have passed or not. If you don't pass first time there's no need to worry. Unlimited resits at absolutely no additional charge are available so you can retake the assessment again as many times as you need to.
How To Order and Access Your Course
Ordering Courses and Payment

Accessing the Training Course
Now you have completed your order we will email you a Receipt along with a second email titled ‘Online Course Registration Details’. This will contain all the information you will need to register a user on the Training Course. Emails are sent within minutes of a completed transaction so as soon as you complete your order you will receive your confirmation emails straight away.
Registering on the Training Course
The Online Course Registration Details will contain a Course Code and a unique Course Activation Key – these can be used to create a user account and access the Training Course. Follow the instructions to get up and running on the course.
Please note: If you have ordered more than one course you will receive multiple Course Activation Keys in the Course Registration email.
Certificate
